Welcome to my WordPress Blog!

I started out making my website cliff538 for a online class in April of 2009 and it has snowballed into wanting to know more about how all this website, blog, web-servers, front-end, back-end, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript stuff works. In my study of PHP I came across WordPress and of course wanted to play with it. This is the result and my playground for WordPress, I have tried to make it “align” with the look and feel of my website and twitter page.

The intent of my website and blog is to log my journey of learning and to share things that I have found useful. Sifting through all the blogs, websites and books on building websites is a daunting process. I hope to share the good and the bad that I have found in my search. Starting out with essentially zero knowledge puts one in a difficult situation of finding just the right tutorials and books that explain things well and help you build upon your knowledge. If your brand new to all of this I hope that you can find a starting point and some inspiration to get you started down the path of learning!

For the record I will also stray into photography, motorcycles and travel.

I will use the blog for my centralized point and will reference and link to the main website when needed.
