Flame is something that you should really go play around with. Might be a real tool for making web site backgrounds. Go check out the site and look at the gallery to see what people have been creating. Peter says he is also working on a stand-alone application.

Peter describes the application here:

“Flame is a painting program, it belongs to my ‘I am Artist’ experimental project. I think with tools which inspires you, everyone can be an artist. You can try it here, change different brush settings and paint your own flame paintings. When you change background from black to white, palette changes from additive to substactive and the feeling of the painting is very different. It’s not easy to explain all brush parameters, so I leave this for your experimentation.”

You can save your masterpieces in 1680×1050 to your computer. Peter had to stop allowing uploads to the gallery due to bandwidth limitations. If you make something cool or use it in your web site let me know I’d love to see it!

The next one is Harmony Procedural Drawing Tool. This one is also incredible and currently has 11 different brushes you can use. Below I just did a quick example of each brush.

Now get to work and make something spectacular.

Cheers!
